I was at Z' Tejas Saturday night. My experience was excellent. The greeter or hostess, JoAnn, was friendly, accommodating and so nice. Our waiter, Tyler, was perfect and really tended to our needs. Our entrees were delicious and there was not a long wait for our food while we sipped on a well mixed and flavorful Margarita. Upon leaving, we spoke to Adam, the manager who really seems to understand what managing that establishment is all about. He has made a huge difference in the restaurant and has brought about a positive change which was sorely needed. These three employees need to be recognized. I highly recommend Z'Tejas and plan on returning very soon.
Hubs and I had a great experience at this restaurant. When we arrived, Hubs was on a phone call so I went in ahead to check on the wait time. The hostess was super sweet and explained there was no room in the dining area due to reservations but there was plenty of seating in the bar and patio areas. Hubs and I took the bar area seating. Bartender #1 was very friendly with getting our drink and food orders, including a side of chips/salsa to start off our meals. She was very fast with getting our refills. The manager brought out our entrees and was very friendly, joking with us that there was too much chatting and too little chip eating. Hubs got the Santa Fe Enchiladas and I got the Mushroom Enchiladas. Both entrees tasted great! Hubs enjoyed the slight spicy kick in his entree and I loved the sauce on mine. Our drinks were consistently refilled by bartender #1 and bartender #2. After we left, Hubs realized he left his phone at the restaurant. I called in and the gentleman who picked up confirmed he found the phone and was very pleasant to speak with. He was quick to greet me at the door on my return to get the phone. Overall, everyone we spoke with were friendly and the food was great. We will definitely come back.
I have not been here in a long time. The last was years ago for pre-celebration birthday before going to the casino. The service was really good. The severs all seemed to care and help us. The interior seems different from my last visit here. I liked the layout of the place. It was nice and open. I got the beef barbacoa enchiladas. They were pretty good. We got the chips and salsas appetizer. The salsas were pretty good. I liked one in particular and will just ask for that one. If I am in the area for dinner I'll be back.
Service was friendly upon entry, during, and after! Our server did seem to forget about us though and the restaurant wasn't even busy. She was sweet. Just would hate to see it when it's busy cause she took a while to check up on us and refill our drinks. Food was alright! I would probably come back to try something else because the food we ordered was mediocre. Maybe if we tried a special dish that's known. It's a nice big open place. I like how they designed and decorated it. The booths offer a lot of room.
We came here and enjoyed lunch on a Friday. Service was attentive and it's very tastefully decorated (love the huge front door!). The food was incredible. I really enjoyed every bit of it. The queso was perfectly creamy and the cornbread skillets were such a fun surprise to receive! The beef barbacoa enchiladas were a perfect portion and I left just a little left on the plate after filling up from the rest of the meal. Highly recommend and would love to return during future visits on Chandler!
I love this place!!! I wish I would have stopped here, a long time ago. Now I know what I was missing.. The Chambord margaritas a bartender's ... Their Happy Hour is really good the drinks are great. The food options are diverse, there is something for everyone. I love the Nachos/Tostados, Tacos, and fries are really tasty. The salsas accompanying the food are paired well. I would definitely love to go have brunch there in the near future.
Our first visit ever to Z'Tejas. Loved the look and vibe as soon as we arrived. Shared an order of catfish beignets with our table. SO good. I had the jerk chicken salad with sesame dressing. My new favorite salad! Every person at our table 9 people loved their meal! And their desserts! Snicker cheesecake amazing! The only criticism I will give is that the margaritas are in the smallest class I've ever seen for a margarita and it was chock full of ice! Couldn't have hardly any alcohol in it, because of it did in the small glass it was served in, it would be so strong you couldn't of drank it. So I can't recommend the drinks on the pricing aspect of such a small drink. And I ordered a Cadillac margarita. As far as Service goes, Tom was our server and was absolutely attentive, funny and efficient!
The food is good. Margaritas on happy hour is great! Catfish is delicious. Every first Friday is a DJ playing music. Service is good. Can be kind of slow.
Happy hour at Z Tejas hasn't disappointed me yet. 3-6 happy hour half price margs, $5 quesadilla, $5 chips with queso guacamole and salsa. That's really why I come here. Service is always great. Me and a friend sat on the patio and the fans were just what we needed. If you have a large group (6 people) their patio has a nice "booth" for you all to gather. Nice atmosphere, beautiful restaurant, amazing food. Count me in again, and again.
